The technical features of the OLED module are as follows:
(1) The core layer of the OLED module is extremely thin, measuring less than 1 mm, which is only one-third the thickness of an LCD.
(2) The OLED module has a solid-state structure with no vacuum or liquid materials, offering excellent shock resistance and the ability to withstand harsh environments such as high acceleration and strong vibration.
(3) OLED features organic light emission, with virtually no viewing angle restrictions. It provides a viewing angle of up to 170° with minimal distortion when viewed from the side.
(4) The response time of the OLED module ranges from a few microseconds to tens of microseconds, outperforming TFT-LCDs, which have response times in the tens of milliseconds (with the best being around 12 ms).
(5) The OLED module performs well at low temperatures and can operate normally at -40°C, making it suitable for applications such as spacesuit displays. In contrast, TFT-LCD response speed decreases under low temperatures, limiting its usability.
(6) Based on the principle of organic light emission, OLED requires fewer materials and at least three fewer production processes compared to LCD, significantly reducing manufacturing costs.
(7) OLED uses self-emitting diodes, eliminating the need for a backlight. It offers higher light conversion efficiency and lower energy consumption than LCD. It can be fabricated on various substrates, including flexible materials, enabling the production of flexible displays.
(8) The 0.96-inch OLED module incorporates a high-brightness, low-power consumption OLED screen that delivers pure color representation and remains clearly visible in sunlight. It supports both 3.3V and 5V power input without circuit modifications and is compatible with both 4-wire SPI and IIC communication interfaces. The display is available in blue, white, and yellow color options. Brightness, contrast, and boost circuit switching can be controlled via commands.
