When cleaning a TFT LCD screen, extra caution is required to avoid damaging it with improper methods. First, never use alcohol or other chemical solvents, as LCD screens are typically coated with a special layer that can dissolve upon contact with alcohol, affecting display quality. Additionally, alkaline or chemical cleaners may corrode the screen, causing permanent damage.
Second, choosing the right cleaning tools is crucial. We recommend using a microfiber cloth or high-end cotton swabs, and avoiding ordinary soft cloths (such as those for eyeglasses) or paper towels, as their rough texture can scratch the LCD screen. Also, avoid cleaning with water directly, as liquid may seep into the LCD screen, leading to short circuits and device damage.
Finally, adopt appropriate cleaning methods for different types of stains. LCD screen stains are mainly divided into dust and fingerprint/oil marks. When cleaning lCD displays, we need wipe gently without applying excessive pressure. The correct cleaning approach will effectively remove stains while protecting the LCD screen and extending its lifespan.
